TMFF seeks funds for capacity building of its incubator initiative and to develop knowledge resources for incubator-grown business managers and address the financial constraints faced by entrepreneurs and new businesses. Its special emphasis on the need of under recognized and underserved teens and young adults to develop their creative voice and share it with the community is aligned with research on building community and connection with marginalized and alienated youth.
The Mildred Franks Foundation , to revitalize the lives and environments of the Greater West Side Residents through economic empowerment, housing improvement, educational enrichment and community advocacy. In the U.S. today, 1 out of 4 children-14.3 million in all-lack access to afterschool programs.
When we measure the creativity of young children, virtually all of them will record as being ‘highly creative’. However, only a small percentage of adults register as being ‘highly creative’.

Our young people deserve better. Youth in afterschool programs do better in school and achieve higher levels of education. They are less likely to get involved in crime, abuse drugs or become teen parents. And, they have a chance to explore new worlds and interests.......
